Speaking & Working Keynotes

Your audience won't leave with more marketing homework. They'll leave with it done.

Hands-on content marketing keynotes for real estate and property management conferences, franchise groups and industry events.

Ellen Bathgate gets audiences creating in the room, so they leave with something tangible already finished: content planned, an email written or a lead magnet created.

Not your typical keynote

Most conference sessions give your audience more things to do when they get back to the office.

Ellen's Working Keynotes get the work done in the room. Attendees open their laptops, work alongside Ellen and create as they learn.

Each Working Keynote is designed around a tangible finish line, then Ellen works backwards to get the room there. That means practical content marketing strategy, live demonstrations and guided implementation, with enough time built into the session for attendees to actually do the work.

And this isn't another "here are 20 ChatGPT prompts" session. Ellen shows audiences how to turn their own expertise, stories and opinions into content people actually want to consume, using AI where it belongs: to make the process faster, not to replace the human thinking that makes great content work.

Ellen's Working Keynotes get the work done in the room.

Depending on the session, your audience will leave with:

Outcome
30 days of content planned.
Outcome
90 days of content mapped.
Outcome
An email written and ready to send.
Outcome
A lead magnet drafted and ready to finish.

Your audience leaves with a result, not another to-do list.

There's a big difference between leaving a conference session thinking, "I really should do that" and leaving thinking, "I can't believe I just got that done." That's the difference a Working Keynote is designed to create. Whether your audience is brand new to content creation or already confidently using content and AI in their businesses, there's a session designed to meet them at the right level and give them a result before they leave the room.

  • How to find content ideas inside your own business, expertise and everyday client conversations.
  • How to use AI to generate and expand content ideas without ending up with generic, robotic content.
  • How to turn those ideas into a practical 30-day content calendar.
  • A simple planning process you can repeat every month so you're not starting from a blank page again.

  • How to turn one strong piece of content into multiple pieces across social media, email and other channels.

Email Marketing Made Simple: The 3 Emails Every Business Should Be Sending

  • The three emails every business should be sending: Value, Connection and Pitch.
  • How to choose email topics from the expertise, stories and offers already inside your business.

Build a Lead Magnet People Actually Want

Turn your expertise into a genuinely useful resource that attracts potential clients. Attendees will identify a problem their ideal client actually wants solved and turn it into a working first draft of a lead magnet before they leave the room.

What we'll cover
  • What makes a lead magnet genuinely valuable, and why a sales brochure disguised as a free guide doesn't cut it.
  • How to identify the specific problems, questions and frustrations your ideal clients already have.
  • How to choose the right lead magnet format for the problem you're solving, including checklists, quick guides and templates.
  • How to use AI to refine your idea and accelerate the creation process without replacing your own expertise.
  • How to turn your idea into a working first draft and start using it to generate leads.
Best suited to: Business owners, BDMs and marketing teams who want to generate leads from their content but need something more useful to offer than "book a call" or "contact us".
See Ellen in action

A Working Keynote isn't a sit-back-and-listen kind of session.

Expect laptops open, phones out, questions from the room, live demonstrations and a little bit of fun as attendees put what they're learning into practice. Ellen keeps the strategy simple, the pace moving and the focus firmly on getting to the finish line. Because the goal isn't for your audience to leave inspired to do the work later. It's for them to look down at what they've created and think, "I can't believe I just got that done."

"Congrats Ellen – masterclass display of storytelling and practical outcomes. Could have heard a pin drop. But to also walk away with a full social media calendar for the year and the understanding of why, was awesome! Thank you!"

Ellen's background

Real estate isn't just an industry Ellen talks about. It's where she started.

Before ContentCollab, Ellen built a real estate agency and rent roll from scratch. She knows what it's like to be running a business, managing a team, looking after clients and trying to grow, while content marketing sits somewhere on an increasingly ridiculous list of things you're apparently supposed to be doing.

And she also knows what it's like to grow a business without relying on cold calls, door knocking or constantly chasing the next lead. Content became a way to stay visible, demonstrate expertise and help potential clients get to know the business before they ever made an enquiry.

After building and selling her real estate business, Ellen took that experience into ContentCollab, where she now helps real estate and property management businesses turn what they know into content that builds trust, authority and opportunities for growth.

It's also why her sessions are practical. Ellen doesn't teach content for people who have all day to create content. She teaches it for people who have businesses to run.
